EarthQuaker Devices Release the Life V2 Pedal

The massively popular and hard to-get-your-hands-on EarthQuaker Devices Life pedal is getting a version 2! The EarthQuaker Devices Life V2 Pedal boasts a more traditional EQD enclosure, but packs all the magnitude and amplitude of the original design.

The Life pedal was originally designed in collaboration with the band Sunn O))). Known for their huge walls of sound and droning, doom tones, the Life V2 pedal is essentially Sunn O))) in a box. The pedal is designed around an LM308 IC chip and tantalum caps, which faithfully recreate tones produced from classic “White Face” distortion units.

EarthQuaker Devices certainly summoned a rare and powerful beast in this one — if your board is built for doom metal, you’ve just found your distortion.
