As the manufacturers of some of the most original and lively guitar designs out there, the Midwest’s Reverend Guitars teamed up with Greg Koch and Rick Vito to create their own signature guitars. Dripping with vintage style and modern high-performance features, these instruments were made to give your playing that extra edge.
Both Greg and Rick stopped by zZounds HQ recently to showcase their brand-new signature Reverend models! Check them out below.
Meet The Gristlemaster
Known for his larger-than-life playing and personality, Greg Koch teamed up with the fine folks at Reverend to create a signature model you won’t forget! The Gristlemaster’s slightly enlarged korina body features a raised center ridge for ergonomic playing comfort, and also includes a chamber under the pickguard to enhance resonance. The guitar’s Wilkinson bridge includes 3 staggered brass saddles and a baseplate as a nod to its vintage inspiration.
Greg’s signature Fishman Gristle-Tone give the Gristlemaster its power, offering hum-free performance and two distinct voices engaged via a push button switch between the volume and tone knobs. Warning: Greg might be playing under the influence of our office’s jet-fuel-strength cold brew coffee.
Six-String Soul Shaker
After decades of sharing the stage with the greats like Fleetwood Mac and Bonnie Raitt, Rick Vito collaborated with Reverend to build his own rock ‘n’ roll battle axe! As a rock-solid blues machine, the Soulshaker’s chambered korina body with solid maple top offers sweet, balanced tones, made all the better with the eye-catching black-and-white custom checker binding. The guitar’s vintage-voiced HA5 neck and bridge humbuckers will give you all the tone you can squeeze out of them, while the heavy-duty Bigsby tremolo stays in tune all night.
