Perfect Pairings: Moog Grandmother and Eventide Rose

Sometimes pairing up a few pieces of gear can help squeeze the most versatility out of each. In this edition of zZounds’ Perfect Pairings, we’re partnering up the Moog Grandmother analog synthesizer with the Eventide Rose modulated delay pedal to create fat, lush soundscapes that are guaranteed to surround you with pulsating rhythms.

With the Grandmother, Moog celebrates the distinct sound and modular design of its past, while providing enough features that’ll satisfy even the most demanding of contemporary players. Featuring a fully-analog sound engine, modulation engine, and spring reverb tank, the Grandmother blankets you with an abundance of rich, complex sounds. Discover strange and exciting tones thanks to the Grandmother’s semi-modular design, and build towering walls of sound with the synth’s powerful Arpeggiator and Sequencer. Whether you’re new to synths or an old pro, the Moog Grandmother will undoubtedly satisfy your hunger for those big analog sounds.

Experience delay like never before with the Eventide Rose. Fusing analog sound with digital versatility, the Rose is defined by its extremely modulated delay multiplier, causing wild effects like reverse delay or heavy pitch shifts. Use the assignable Hot Switch to affect a number of controls, from tap tempo to delay repeats. Control the Rose even further thanks to a single expression, auxiliary, and MIDI TRS input. The Eventide Rose can also be switched to accept line level inputs to use as a piece of outboard studio gear.
