During NAMM 2017, we met up with Andrew Yeghiazarian of Catalinbread to get a peek at what the pedal purveyors are putting out in 2017. In addition to the new Fn55 providing hot-rodded tweed tone, the popular Belle Epoch delay is getting two siblings in the Belle Epoch Pre and Belle Epoch Deluxe!
Small but incredibly mighty, Catalinbread’s new Belle Epoch Deluxe is packed with tons of features that will make even the most casual of delay fans jump for joy. The Belle Epoch Deluxe is outfitted with an expression pedal input, which can be used to control delay time or modulation, depending on the setting. Aside from the standard bypass footswitch, they’ve also added a second footswitch dedicated to runaway self-oscillation. The best part about the BED is the option to select between 6 different “echo programs,” essentially making this 6 separate delays in one. Two of the programs mimic the Deluxe Memory Man, and you can even select if you want to run it in either chorus or vibrato mode.
