If you’re a synthophile, there’s been a lot to be excited about lately. Just this past weekend, Knobcon’s seventh annual event took place, and the zZounds Blog was there — check out the photos! Roland is set to debut new synth and drum products Thursday per its “Music Connects” site. And now, hot on its heels, Yamaha has announced…an announcement!
Here’s the official text from Yamaha’s press release:
Join the Yamaha Synthesizer team for a very special Facebook Live event from Yamaha Artist Services in New York City. Hosted by UK/EU Product Demonstrator Dom Sigalas and US Synthesizer Product Specialist Blake Angelos, the event will feature a special product announcement, live performances and interviews with:
Electronic artist and sound designer: Richard Devine
Keyboardist and Yamaha Artist: Nick Semrad
Pianist/keyboardist and Yamaha Artist: Domi Degalle
The event takes place on Friday, September 14 at 1PM/1300 Eastern Standard Time and will be streamed live on the YamahaSynths Facebook page. This will be a MEMORABLE event that you will not want to miss! Hope to see you there!
So, what can we glean from that? It appears to suggest a single new product, rather than a new line. Could it be an update in the MONTAGE or MX series? A new reface synth? Or something entirely brand new? Only time will tell, but one thing’s for sure — we’ll be on Facebook live this Friday at 1 to find out for ourselves!
