TC Electronic Releases Aeon Sustainer

TC-Electronic Aeon Infinite Sustainer

The creative Danes at TC Electronic have just dropped their latest device — the Aeon Handheld Infinite Sustainer. Powered by a 9V battery, Aeon features two custom-made transducers that, when held close to a guitar’s strings “excite” them or cause them to vibrate and make audible noise with infinite sustain. The concept is likely familiar if you’ve ever heard of an EBow, a device that’s been around since the ’70s and heard on songs like “EBow the Letter” by REM and “Don’t Look Back in Anger” by Oasis. TC Electronic is seeking to take the effect into the modern age with the Aeon’s ability to work more naturally on bass and other stringed instruments, in addition to its more ergonomic design.

Pre-order the Aeon now at zZounds!

Get a taste for what the Aeon can do in the video below.

Editor of the zZounds Blog. Donut snob. I love to write and to play guitar, so naturally, I love writing about guitars. My favorite kind of music is the kind that sounds like Muzak but cooler, you know?

Man you had me at sustainer but lost my faith with REM and Oasis. Way better bands and guitarist have used the Ebow too. Although good to hear about this.
