Taylor Guitars is shaking things up for 2018 (and beyond) with a completely redesigned bracing pattern called V-Class. Developed by Master Designer Andy Powers, this unique V-shaped bracing achieves two characteristics in acoustic guitar design: rigidity for sustain and flexibility for volume. The V-Class bracing creates strength and stability through the middle of the top, underneath where the strings run, while the sides are flexible and free to move.
The result is a Taylor guitar that sounds unique among its peers. low-end response is increased and the guitar is given a more rounded tone without sacrificing crisp detail in the high end. As of right now, Taylor Guitars is including V-Class technology on its flagship Grand Auditorium models, including those in the Presentation, 900 and Koa Series, plus a Builder’s Edition model. V-Class technology will be rolled out to other series throughout the year.
