Why Choose Epiphone Over Gibson?. We compare the Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Les Paul Custom with the Gibson Les Paul Studio.

Epiphone or Gibson? The age-old question debated by generations of guitarists — and now, the zZounds crew! In this video, we put the Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Les Paul Custom and Gibson Les Paul Studio to the test to see which axe offers the best value for the everyday player.

However, while both guitars aim to offer the best value for money, they do so in very different ways. Epiphone’s Les Paul Custom boasts the premium appointments typically found in its much higher priced Gibson Custom Shop counterparts, while Gibson’s Les Paul Studio aims to be more inviting to players with its stripped down, performance focused build. Watch as Justin makes the case for each so that you can choose for yourself!

Why not compare lp custom to lp custom? I personally think all these guitars are overpriced. Bought my LP Custom in 1976 for $375. Wouldn’t buy another Gibson, Epi, Fender these days. Now play a G&L made in Indonesia Tele. Plays and sounds great. Play before you (over)buy.

I have always liked headphone I’ve always had a Les Paul customer standard but I like the earlier phone and when I say early I mean the maiden and America and then when ever phone started making their out of the United States guitars they were done fairly well they weren’t Gibson’s and they had the god awful headstock on them to make sure people knew the difference I guess. So these new guitars the inspired by series with the normal looking headstocks really complete the package of nicely made although not a Gibson the sound between the two was very little different I’m sure due to the fact that one was a custom with a maple top I’m not sure how thick it is and the studio which was just your bare mahogany or at least I think that’s what you’re making them now, everything changes. Especially for me now that I’m I guess I would say older most would say elderly just 70 but due to arthritis I’m unable to play anymore but I can still hear real well so I always enjoy a good looking good sounding guitar I started to say good playing but I couldn’t tell other than to fit and finish because my hands just aren’t able to do what they once were.
