Perfect Pairings: Guild D-55 & F-512E

In this Perfect Pairings video, we’re matching up a pair of Guild acoustic guitars, the D-55 and the F-512E 12-string, to create a robust (and very autumnal) sonic statement.

The Guild D-55 acoustic takes the classic style of large dreadnought guitars, and spices it up in a way only Guild knows how. The guitar’s premium AAA Sitka spruce top projects a crisp, clear tone, while the Indian rosewood back and sides tame the high end for an organic, balanced sound. The ebony fretboard features gorgeous mother-of-pearl and abalone “V-Block” inlays, and the all-gold hardware shows your audience you mean business. A nitro finish adds a professional touch to this stunning USA-made acoustic.

If you’re looking to add extra fullness to your acoustic sound, you can’t go wrong with the F-512E 12-string. This Guild jumbo acoustic generates its huge sound via a beautiful AAA Sitka spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides, combining to produce a smooth, robust tone. Just in case you need to plug in to the venue’s PA system, the F-512E also includes an LR Baggs Anthem pickup to capture every nuance of your sound.

The 12-string in this video is an imported Guild F1512E, not a USA-made F 512E
