Deep within a secret mountainous facility underneath a waterfall, Orange designed the Brent Hinds Terror amp head in collaboration with the Mastodon guitarist himself…or so Brent says. This 15-watt beast boasts two foostwitchable channels — “Natural,” with just a single volume control that spans from glassy cleans to harmonically rich overdrive, and the “Dirty” channel, featuring volume, 3-band EQ, and gain knobs with which to dial in tones ranging from a whimper to a roar.
A proud addition to the Terror Series, the Brent Hinds signature includes a handy “Headroom/Bedroom” switch on the back of the amp. Used in conjunction with the half-power switch on the control panel, the head’s power output can be adjusted to 15, 7, 1, and 1/2 watts to coax angrier drive out of the amp at more pleasant volume levels.
